General Information
Established thanks to the support of the Genetics Society, the Non-Seed Plant Sectional Interest Group brings together UK researchers studying all aspects of plant biology using species outside of seed-bearing plants (hornworts, mosses, liverworts, club mosses and ferns), working with living experimental systems and/or fossil data. The aim is to exchange findings, share resources and foster collaborations between groups, institutions and disciplines and to support the next generation of researchers within this community. We hold a one-day meeting annually with talks mainly from early career researchers but also including international speakers. Our members’ interests presently include evolution, development, pathology and taxonomy but all are welcome.
Building on the great success of the previous meetings in Oxford and Birmingham, this year’s Genetics Society Non-seed Plants meeting will be held in Cambridge and organized by Laura Moody, Justin Goodrich, and myself.
Venue:
The event will take place on December 16th at Madingley Hall (https://www.madingleyhall.co.uk/madingley-hall) just a few minutes away from central Cambridge.
